How We Grow

Text Box: How We Grow Anything grown in the ground at our farm is in a transitional field. We follow organic standards but have not completed our certification yet. A portion of our farm grows using a hydroponic system and is also grown following organic standards. Hydroponic farming has been making big impressions! With the decrease in the availability of land and the movement to conserve water, hydroponics is the wave of the future. Our hydroponics section of the farm features a state-of-the-art system that delivers nutrients to the plants. Plants are grown in containers. The containers are specially designed for the plants. This means optimum growth and maximum flavor. All the plants are grown in a soil- less medium (we use coconut coir) with a organic nutrient solution. Emitters release just enough water to properly wet the medium with out causing run off and allowing our farm to use less water. Another perk is farm fresh produce without the bending and kneeling. By using these alternative methods to grow produce, we are able to grow environmentally friendly healthy produce while utilizing less land, less water and less energy.
